How I Knew I Had A Passion

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been OBSESSED with taking pictures. I would take my family's camera and run around inside and outside and just take pictures of everything. I would take pictures of my dad and sister, sometimes even the dogs. I'd take pictures of flowers and weirdly I took pictures of the grass. I just thought it was so fun and cool that something could capture an image of something at a certain time, and it would never disappear. Whenever you wanted, you could just go back at look at the picture and it would stay the way you left it forever.
THIS is when I knew that I wanted to figure out this whole "photography" thing. I quickly urged to learn more and more and how to improve. I started entering photography contests at our county fair. The first picture I ever entered was of a blue flower on the bush in our front yard with water droplets all over it from the rain that morning. I won 1st in my class with that picture and it was entered into the silent auction. Ever since then I haven't let go of a camera.
I love that you can capture things so sentimental and loving and they will never change. Sure you can have memories in head of a moment or an event, but you can't just g back and see it again. And this is what I live so much about photography. Life goes by so fast and then you never see that time again. I think capturing moments with images is something special, something that you can hold on to forever.
I love being the person able to capture these images for others. Whether it be maternity pictures, newborns pictures, or even senior pictures. I know those pictures will always be looked back at. 20 years in the future you'll put that image back out, and be able to see what you looked like at that time, the happiness, love, or simplicity you had at that time. It'll automatically make a portal for you to reminisce on those times.
